Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Hillsborough County that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 12:09 am, a GMC Sierra, driven by a 31-year-old Leesburg man, was traveling westbound on SR-674.
East of 30th Street Southeast, a 34-year-old Tampa man ran across the highway, entered the path, and was struck by the vehicle.
The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver or the deceased pedestrian involved in the collision.
