Breaking News Overnight: FHP looking for hit-and-run driver involved in fatal collision with pedestrian in Marion County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol are looking for a hit-and-run driver who hit and killed a pedestrian last night in Marion County

According to the FHP report, at approximately 9:50 pm, a body was located along the south shoulder of County Road 25 that had been struck by an unknown vehicle at an unknown time frame.

The vehicle was traveling east on County Road 25, and a 71-year-old Ocklawaha man was lying down in the eastbound lane.

The vehicle struck the pedestrian and left the scene.
