Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Citrus County that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a Ford Taurus driven by a 46-year-old Inverness man was traveling eastbound on East Parsons Point Road.
East of North Tomberlin Point, the vehicle collided with a falling tree and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The FHP did not release the driver's name involved in the crash.
