Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision this morning in Hernando County that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 5:50 a.m., a Chevy Impala, driven by a 73-year-old Spring Hill man, was traveling northbound on Tryon Circle near Holiday Drive.
For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which departed the roadway, crossed through the front yard located at the 400 block of Tryon Circle, and collided with a tree.
The driver, not wearing a seat belt, suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The FHP did not release the driver's name involved in the crash.
