Updating Breaking News: Two-vehicle collision in Lee County kills motorcyclist

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision this morning in Lee County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, a pickup truck driven by a 29-year-old Bonita Springs man was traveling south on the left turn lane of Old US 41, approaching Bonita Drive. At the same time, a motorcycle, driven by a 25-year-old Naples man, was traveling north on Old US 41, approaching Bonita Drive.
The pickup truck then turned left in front of the approaching motorcycle, and the two vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. The pickup driver did not report any injuries to the FHP.
The FHP did not release the names of either driver.
