Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision yesterday in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a passenger.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:19 pm, a Chevy Malibu, driven by a 38-year-old Spring Hill woman, was traveling northbound on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard.
At the same time, a 39-year-old Dade City man was driving a Chrysler Town & Country southbound on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard.
As they approached south of Miller Road, the first vehicle crossed the center line and collided with the second vehicle nearly head-on.
Post-impact, the first vehicle came to final rest in the southbound lanes of Bellamy Brothers Boulevard, while the second vehicle rotated to the shoulder and overturned.
A passenger, a 34-year-old Hudson man traveling in the first vehicle, suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the first vehicle suffered serious injuries, while the driver of the second vehicle reported minor injuries to the FHP.
The FHP did not release the names of the drivers or passengers involved in the collision.
