Updating Breaking News: One dead, two injured after a two-vehicle collision in Clay County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision in Clay County yesterday that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 4:25 pm, a pickup truck driven by a 69-year-old Keystone Heights man was traveling northbound on State Road 21. At the same time, a sport utility vehicle driven by a 72-year-old Gainesville woman was traveling southbound on SR-21.
As they approached, the pickup truck entered the southbound lane, into the path of the SUV, and they collided.
The pickup truck came to rest on its passenger side, facing west in the middle of the roadway. The SUV overturned onto the west shoulder.
The SUV driver was pronounced deceased on the scene. An unidentified passenger in the SUV suffered serious injuries in the crash. The pickup driver sustained minor injuries.
The FHP did not release the drivers' or passenger's names involved in this collision.
