Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision in Charlotte County yesterday, resulting in critical injuries to a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 3:48 pm, a 41-year-old North Port woman riding a motorcycle was traveling south on US 41, south of Cochran Boulevard, in the center lane.
The dynamics of the crash remain under investigation.
The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

The FHP did not release the name of the motorcyclist involved in the crash.
