Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision yesterday in Hernando County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:35 pm, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by a 41-year-old Spring Hill man, was traveling eastbound on CR-574.
Approaching Spring Park Way, the rider lost control of the motorcycle, which entered the center median and overturned.
The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.
Transported to an area hospital, the rider later expired from injuries suffered during the crash.
The FHP did not release the motorcyclist's name involved in the collision.
