From the Florida Highway Patrol
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision last night in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 8 pm, a Mazda CX-5, driven by a 70-year-old Land O Lakes woman, was traveling eastbound on Tower Road.
At the same time, a Suzuki motorcycle, operated by a 21-year-old Spring Hill man, was traveling southbound on US-41.
At the intersection, the SUV failed to yield to the motorcycle, turned left into its path, and was struck by the motorcyclist, who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the collision.
The FHP did not release the names of the drivers involved in the collision.
