Updating Breaking News: Motorcyclist dies after collision with SUV in Manatee County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision yesterday in Manatee County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 4:42 p.m., a 25-year-old Bradenton woman driving a sport utility vehicle was traveling west on State Road 70 (53rd Avenue West) in the inside lane, approaching 52nd Avenue Terrace West.
At the same time, a 59-year-old Bradenton man riding a motorcycle was traveling east on State Road 70, on the outside lane, approaching 52nd Avenue Terrace West.
As they approached, the SUV driver turned left in front of the approaching motorcycle, and they collided.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or the motorcyclist involved in the collision.
