From the Florida Highway Patrol
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision on March 26th in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a passenger.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 1:50 am, a Cleytro Scooter, operated by a 39-year-old Port Richey man, was traveling eastbound on Ridge Crest Drive.
West of Congress Street, the operator failed to negotiate a curve and overturned.
Transported to an area hospital, the operator later expired on March 28th from injuries suffered during the crash.
The FHP did not release the driver's name involved in the collision.
