Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a pedestrian hit and injured by a sport utility vehicle last night in Hillsborough County.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:35 pm, a Buick Encore, driven by a 70-year-old Michigan man, was traveling southbound on the exit ramp from I-75 leading to SR-674.
Crossing at the bottom of the ramp was a 37-year-old missing man from Bradenton, last seen in Manatee County on January 25.
The pedestrian entered the path and was struck by the SUV.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver or pedestrian involved in the crash.
