Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision yesterday in Pasco County that resulted in injuries to three adults and one child.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:20 pm, a Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by a 46-year-old Holiday woman, was traveling westbound on Riverlawn Court. East of Bahia Avenue, the driver suffered a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle accelerated and entered the property of 3226 Bahia Drive, colliding with a chain link fence, a wood fence, and a swimming pool at the residence in successive order. Upon impact with the edge of the pool, the vehicle became airborne and struck the east side of the home.
The vehicle fully entered the home and injured two Holiday women, aged 40 and 42 years, who were inside the residence. Both women inside the home suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital. The driver and a nine-year-old male passenger both suffered minor injuries and were also transported to an area hospital.
The FHP did not release the names of the drivers or residents involved in the collision.
