On September 11th, at approximately 8:53 pm, FHP State Troopers attempted to stop a 2018 Dodge Charger for a traffic violation in Cape Coral.
The Dodge recklessly fled the attempted traffic stop, reaching speeds of 100 mph, blacking out its headlights, and driving the wrong way on a public roadway.
State Troopers performed a successful PIT maneuver on the Dodge.
They placed Aleigha Rae Dekeyser, age 18, of Cape Coral, under arrest without further incident for fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, suspended license, and felony drug possession, and booked her into the Lee County Jail.
No injuries were reported during the arrest or pursuit.
