Updating Breaking News: Driver dies after two-vehicle collision in Pasco County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision yesterday in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a driver.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 4:14 pm, a Toyota Corolla driven by a 28-year-old Port Richey man was traveling eastbound on Bowman Road. 

At the same time, a 32-year-old Brooksville man driving a Chevy Silverado towing a trailer was traveling southbound on US-41. 

At the intersection of the two roadways, The Corolla failed to stop, entered the intersection, and was struck by the Silverado. 

After the collision, the first vehicle rotated to final rest along the shoulder of the roadway. 

The second vehicle and its trailer jackknifed and came to rest along the shoulder of the roadway. 

The driver of the first vehicle suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash, while the driver of the second vehicle and his passenger (a 41-year-old Brooksville man) were uninjured. 

The FHP did not release the names of the drivers or the passenger involved in the collision.
