Updating Breaking News: Driver dies after single-vehicle collision in Hardee County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision in Hardee County yesterday that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 9:53 am, a sedan driven by a 35-year-old Sebring man was traveling north on Parnell Road, negotiating a right curve, approaching the T-intersection of Walking Horse Drive.
As he approached the intersection, the driver failed to negotiate the curve.
The vehicle rotated onto the grass shoulder, traveled down the shoulder embankment and collided with a concrete culvert, fence, and tree.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver.
