Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a multiple-vehicle collision on Tuesday in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 4:24 pm, a Ford F-150 driven by a 59-year-old New Port Richey man was traveling southbound on Little Road.
At the same time, four other vehicles were traveling northbound on Little Road.
South of Decubellis Road, the driver of the first vehicle suffered a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle traveled into the northbound lanes and collided with vehicles 2, 3, and 5. Upon impact, vehicle 3, a Jeep Compass driven by a 41-year-old Port Richey woman, rotated and collided with vehicle 4, a Ford F-150 driven by a 31-year-old Spring Hill man.
None of the drivers reported any injuries to the FHP, except for the first driver, who suffered serious injury and was transported to an area hospital, where he later died on January 31.
The FHP did not release the names of anyone involved in the collision.
