Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision yesterday in Pasco County that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:30 pm, a Chevy Suburban, driven by a 42-year-old Tarpon Springs man, was traveling westbound on Flora Avenue.
East of Basswood Drive, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which entered a residential yard and struck a tree.
Transported to an area hospital, the driver later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver involved in the collision.
