Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision yesterday in Pasco County that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:46 p.m., a Toyota Tacoma driven by a 42-year-old Dade City man was traveling northbound on the I-275 entrance ramp leading to I-75 when the driver lost control for an unknown reason.
The vehicle crossed the gore, overturned, and came to rest in the northbound I-75 travel lanes.
The unrestrained driver was ejected from the vehicle, suffered serious injury, was transported to an area hospital, and later died as a result of his injuries.
The FHP did not release the driver's name involved in the collision.
