Breaking News Overnight: Two-vehicle collision in Lee County kills motorcyclist

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision last night in Lee County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 7:46 pm, a 27-year-old North Fort Myers man riding a dirt bike was traveling east on B Street, approaching the intersection of US 41.
At the same time, a sp[ort utility vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Ft. Myers man was traveling south on US 41, approaching B Street.
As the vehicles approached, the dirt bike made a right turn into the path of the SUV and the two vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on scene. The SUV driver did not report any injuries to the FHP, according to the report.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or the deceased motorcyclist.
