Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision last night in Dixie County that resulted in the death of a 13-year-old girl.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 10:35 pm, a 30-year-old Moriston man driving a sport utility vehicle was traveling southbound on SR 349.
At the same time, a 13-year-old Old Town girl was standing in the roadway. As a result, the SUV collided with her.
The Pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or the pedestrian involved in the crash.
