Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision this morning in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a passenger.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 1:50 am, a Suzuki SX4, driven by a 43-year-old Dade City man, was traveling westbound on Long Avenue.
At the same time, a tricycle, operated by a 46-year-old Dade City woman, was traveling westbound on Long Avenue and ahead of the first vehicle.
West of 15th Street, the vehicle overtook and collided with the tricyclist with no lights.
Transported to an area hospital, the tricyclist later expired from injuries suffered during the collision.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or tricyclist involved in the collision.
