Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash in Columbia County last night that resulted in the death of the driver and a passenger.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 7:50 pm, a 61-year-old Clewiston woman driving a pickup truck was traveling north on CR 349.
While traveling north, the pickup traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver and one of the passengers (a 56-year-old Clewiston man) were pronounced deceased on scene. The second passenger (a 28-year-old Clewiston man) was transported from the scene with critical injuries.
FHP did not release the names of the driver or passengers involved in the collision.
