A Sarasota man was killed early Sunday morning after his SUV left Interstate 75 and overturned in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 3 am on June 14 on northbound Interstate 75 near mile marker 212.
According to investigators, a gray 2006 Toyota Sequoia was traveling north on I-75 when it veered off the roadway to the right for reasons that remain under investigation.
Troopers said the vehicle overturned after leaving the roadway.
The driver, a 36-year-old Sarasota man, was ejected from the SUV during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other occupants were listed in the preliminary report.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
