Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision last night in Hillsborough County that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 8 pm, a Mazda 3 sedan, driven by a 35-year-old Tampa man, was traveling southbound on US-41.
North of 118th Avenue East, a pedestrian crossing the roadway walked into the path and was struck by the vehicle.
The 63-year-old male pedestrian from Tampa suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The driver reported no injuries to the FHP.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or pedestrian involved in the collision.
