Breaking News Overnight: Pedestrian hit and killed by pickup truck in Hillsborough County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision this morning in Hillsborough County that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 1 am, a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, driven by a 26-year-old Plant City woman, was traveling westbound on US-92.
East of Charlie Taylor Road, a 29-year-old Plant City man attempted to cross the highway. The pedestrian entered the path of the vehicle and was struck by it, suffering fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver or pedestrian involved in the collision.
