Breaking News Overnight: One dead, two injured after a two-vehicle collision in Pasco County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision last night in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a passenger.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 9:19 pm, a Buick Reatta, driven by a 75-year-old New Port Richey man, was traveling southbound on Little Road. 

At the same time, a Tesla Model 3, driven by a 45-year-old Osprey man, was traveling northbound on Little Road. 

At the intersection of Heritage Lakes Boulevard, the first vehicle turned left into the path and was struck by the second vehicle.

The drivers of both vehicles suffered minor injuries, while a passenger traveling in the first vehicle, a 73-year-old New Port Richey woman, was transported to an area hospital, where she later died from her injuries. 

The FHP did not release the names of the drivers or passengers involved in the collision.
