Breaking News Overnight: One dead, two injured after a head-on collision in Pasco County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle collision yesterday in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a driver.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:50 am, a GMC Savana, driven by a 58-year-old Land O Lakes man, was traveling southbound on Ehren Cutoff.  

Two other vehicles, a Ford Escape and a Ford F350, respectively, were traveling northbound on Ehren Cutoff. 

North of Belinda Drive, Vehicle 1 crossed the centerline and collided nearly head-on with both Vehicles 2 and 3 in successive order. 

Following the collisions, the first vehicle rotated and overturned.  All three vehicles came to final rest in the travel lanes of Ehren Cutoff. 

The driver of the first vehicle suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.  

The driver of the second vehicle, an 80-year-old Ontario man, and the driver of the third vehicle, a 61-year-old Texas man, suffered minor injuries. 

The FHP did not release the names of the drivers involved in the collision.
