Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision yesterday in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 2:34 p.m., a 37-year-old Tampa man was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on I-75.
At the same time, a Chevy Trax sport utility vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Wesley Chapel woman was traveling northbound on I-75 ahead of the motorcycle.
North of SR-56, the motorcycle overtook and collided with the rear of the SUV.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The SUV driver suffered minor injuries.
The FHP did not release the motorcyclist or the driver's name involved in the collision.
