Breaking News Overnight: Motorcyclist dies after a three-vehicle collision in Pasco County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle collision last night in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:58 p.m., a Nissan SUV, driven by a 61-year-old Holiday woman, was traveling eastbound on SR-54. 

At the same time, a Yamaha motorcycle, operated by a 50-year-old Holiday man, was traveling westbound on SR-54 in the center lane, and a Toyota Corolla, driven by a 57-year-old New Port Richey man, was traveling westbound on SR-54 in the inside lane. 

At the intersection of Riverrun Road, the SUV turned left into the path and was struck by the motorcycle.

Upon impact, the motorcyclist was ejected into the path and was struck by the Corolla. 

The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.  Driver 1 suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.  Driver 3 was unharmed during the incident. 

The FHP did not release the motorcyclist or the other drivers' names involved in the collision.
