Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle collision this morning in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 2:36 am, a Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by a 44-year-old Brooksville was traveling northbound in the 15000 block of Old Dixie Highway when the rider lost control of the vehicle.
The motorcycle traveled to the left shoulder and collided with a Suzuki Sidekick and a Chevy S10 Blazer in successive order. Both vehicles were parked and unoccupied in the driveway of 15521 Old Dixie Highway.
The rider was transported to an area hospital, where he later expired from injuries suffered during the crash.
The FHP did not release the name of the deceased motorcyclist involved in the collision.
