Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol are looking for a hit-and-run driver involved in a fatal collision with a pedestrian this morning in Hernando County.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 4:20 am, a vehicle described as an early model unknown color Dodge Durango, was traveling westbound on Wiscon Road.
At the intersection of California Street, a 45-year-old Brooksville man was walking northbound across the roadway. The pedestrian entered the path of and was struck by the vehicle.
The unknown driver fled westbound as the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call *FHP (*347) or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
The FHP did not release the name of the pedestrian involved in the crash.
