Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Hillsborough County that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 7 am, a Honda sedan, driven by a 29-year-old Riverview man, was traveling westbound along the entrance ramp from the westbound lanes of Fowler Avenue leading to northbound I-75.
Traveling at a high rate of speed, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which departed the roadway, overturned several times, and collided with a tree.
As the vehicle overturned, the driver was ejected and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver involved in the collision.
