Updating Breaking News: Two-vehicle crash in Volusia County kills motorcyclist

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision this afternoon in Volusia County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 12:15 pm, a 2023 Mercedes Benz C-Class driven by a 79-year-old man from DeLand sedan driven and a 2003 Honda GL1500 Motorcycle driven by a 58-year-old man from Daytona Beach crashed on U.S. 92 (International Speedway Boulevard) and Old Daytona Road in Deland.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.
A witness advised the FHP that the motorcycle was traveling above the posted speed limit.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or the motorcyclist.
The crash remains under investigation.
