Updating Breaking News: Two-vehicle crash in Volusia County kills motorcyclist

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision this afternoon in Volusia County that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 5:05 pm, a 2017 Ford Focus sedan driven by a 32-year-old Holly Hill man was traveling westbound on Wright Street approaching Circle Drive in Daytona Beach. At the same time, a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle driven by a 60-year-old Daytona Beach man was traveling eastbound on Wright Street approaching Circle Drive.
A witness advised the FHP that the motorcycle was traveling above the posted speed limit.
The first vehicle's driver attempted to make a left turn to travel south on Circle Drive and entered the direct path of the motorcycle. As a result, the right side of the vehicle struck the front of the motorcycle.
The first vehicle's driver remained on the scene and reported no injuries to the FHP.
The motorcyclist was transported to Halifax Medical Center and pronounced deceased.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or the motorcyclist.
The crash remains under investigation.
