Updating Breaking News: Driver dies after a single-vehicle collision in Sumter County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision in Sumter County this morning that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 8:10 am, a Ford F-150, driven by an unidentified male, was traveling southbound on Interstate 75.
Just prior to Exit 309, the driver failed to negotiate a curve, departed the roadway, and collided with a tree.
Upon impact, the vehicle caught fire, and the driver suffered fatal injuries.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver involved in the collision.
