Updating Breaking News: Two-vehicle collision in Suwannee County kills driver

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision this morning in Suwannee County that resulted in the death of a driver.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 7:35 am, a Ford pickup truck driven by a 49-year-old Jasper man was traveling east on US 90, approaching the intersection of 75th Drive.

At the same time, an 89-year-old Live Oak man was driving a Dodge pickup truck that was stopped at the stop sign on 75th Drive at the intersection of US 90.

As they approached, the Dodge pickup failed to yield the right of way to the Ford pickup, entered the intersection, and collided with the other vehicle.

The driver of the Dodge pickup was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Ford pickup was transported to a local Hospital with minor injuries.

The FHP did not release the names of the drivers involved in the collision.
