Breaking Morning News: One dead, two seriously injured after a multi-vehicle collision in Columbia County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle crash in Columbia County this morning that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:50 am, a pickup truck driven by a 35-year-old Lake City man was negotiating a right curve in the road, when the vehicle traveled into the northbound lanes and struck a sedan driven by a 37-year-old Lake Butler man and a pickup truck driven by a 64-year-old Lake City man. The collision caused the second vehicle to travel into the east ditch of CR- 245.
The first vehicle's front left struck the third vehicle's left front.
The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The drivers of the second and third vehicles transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
FHP did not release the names of the drivers involved in the collision.
