An Ocala woman accused of causing a deadly hit-and-run crash on Interstate 4 in Volusia County has been arrested, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Authorities say Lindsey Brooke Isaacs, 23, was taken into custody and booked into the Volusia County Jail in connection with the October 4, 2025, crash that killed three people and seriously injured another.

Isaacs faces multiple charges, including three counts of leaving the scene of a crash involving death, three counts of vehicular homicide, one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury, and one count of reckless driving causing serious bodily injury.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:55 pm along eastbound Interstate 4 near mile marker 108, just east of DeBary Avenue.

According to investigators, Isaacs was driving a Dodge Durango when she changed lanes from the center lane into the inside lane, directly into the path of a Ford Focus. The left side of the Durango struck the right side of the Focus, setting off a chain-reaction crash involving a motorcycle and a Honda Pilot.

The initial impact forced the Ford Focus off the roadway and into a guardrail. The vehicle then re-entered the interstate and collided with the Honda Pilot.

During the crash, the Durango fled the scene.

The crash proved fatal for three people: a 54-year-old Deltona man riding the motorcycle, along with the driver of the Honda Pilot, a 59-year-old Palm Coast man, and his 60-year-old passenger. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Focus, a 47-year-old Deltona woman, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Investigators later located the Durango abandoned in a parking lot in Flagler County with damage consistent with the crash. The vehicle was taken into evidence as part of the investigation.

The case remains under investigation.

Leaving the scene of a crash that results in property damage, injury, or death is against the law. The Florida Highway Patrol is reminding Floridians about the consequences of leaving the scene of a crash and the challenges law enforcement face when investigating a hit-and-run crash. If involved in a crash, stay at the scene, call for help, and follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you and any passengers are okay. Remain calm.
  2. If possible, move to the side of the road. Remove your keys if you leave your vehicle, move off the roadway, and stay in a safe area.
  3. Check on others involved. Call 911 if anyone might be injured or if a vehicle is inoperable.
  4. If there are no injuries or major property damage, gather information. Get the name, driver's license, insurance, and tag information from the other driver(s). Take photos of the vehicles and any information you can’t write down, then file a report online.
  5. Most importantly, always stay at the scene. Leaving the scene of a crash will only make matters worse. Staying at the scene will not only spare a driver significant legal penalties but may also save a life.
