Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision in Glades County last night that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 8:58 pm, a sedan driven by a 31-year-old Tampa woman was traveling westbound on County Road 74, west of the intersection with County Road 731.
At the same time, a sport utility vehicle driven by a 37-year-old Loxahatchee man was traveling east on County Road 74.
As they approached, the first vehicle entered the eastbound travel lane and collided with the SUV.
The woman was pronounced deceased on scene. The SUV driver suffered serious injuries, according to the report.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the names of the drivers involved in the collision.
