According to the FHP report, at approximately 9:08 am, a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by a 31-year-old Vlarico man was traveling westbound on State Road in the outside lane approaching the Old Sawmill Road intersection.
According to the report, the driver was traveling above the posted speed limit and failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. As a result, he ran off the road onto the shoulder, continued traveling westward, collided with trees, and overturned onto its roof.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
