Updating Breaking News: Driver dies after a single-vehicle collision in Seminole County

A 65-year-old Orlando man was killed Friday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Seminole County after his car left the roadway and struck a tree before catching fire, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:31 pm at the intersection of Lake Drive and Mary Drive.
According to the FHP report, the man was driving a 2008 Honda Accord eastbound on Lake Drive when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle veered off the roadway to the right, onto the median, where its front collided with a tree.
Following the impact, the vehicle became engulfed in flames.
The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, where he was later pronounced deceased.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the names of the drivers or the passenger involved in the collision.
