Two events happening at Cranes Roost this weekend: One to get you dancing, the other walking like MADD!

May 6: Uptown Vibes; May 7: Walk Like MADD event

This Friday, get ready to enjoy Uptown Vibes and a celebration of Latin culture with music from local band Lati-2, at Crane's Roost Park. There will be plenty of food vendors, interactive games and more. Admission is free. Food and drinks wil be available for purchase

Lati-2, one of Orlando's best Latin bands performing salsa, merengue, tropipop, cumbia and more! Check them out on their Facebook page.

The concert will be held at the Eddie Rose Amphitheater in Crane's Roost, with gates opening at 6:15 p.m. and the concert running from 7 p.m. to  9 p.m.

Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs. No glass or alcohol is permitted. No smoking or pets are permitted.

Walk Like MADD

On Saturday, May 7 you can get MADD and glad at the same time by joining Mothers Against Drunk Driving for a walk around the lake, and show your support! 

The 2022 Walk Like MADD Central Florida event is MADD's signature fundraising event to help them raise both awareness and funds to eliminate drunk and drugged driving. They hope that you will rally with thems in Altamonte Springs to help create a future of No More Victims®.  

So far this year, MADD has registered 211 participants and 24 teams for this event. Their goal is to raise $60,000, and they have almost reached that mark at $53,878! You can make the difference and help them get across the finish line, doing more great work to stem the tide of victims due to drunk and drugged driving.

The event will start at 8 a.m.  and end at 11 a.m.. Check-in is at 7:15 a.m.

Registration is required by May 6 at 5 p.m., so be sure to sign up here

Donations will be accepted up until May 7 at 12 a.m. to go toward this event.
