A 43-year-old Gainesville woman was killed after being struck by a pickup truck on US-129 Wednesday night in Levy County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:38 pm near the intersection of US-129 and County Road 320.
FHP said a 70-year-old Trenton man was driving a pickup truck south on US-129, just south of the intersection.
The Gainesville woman was in the right portion of the southbound lane when the right front of the pickup struck her, according to the crash report.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. FHP did not release her name but reported that her next of kin had been notified.
The pickup driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
FHP did not provide additional information about the circumstances surrounding the crash.
