From the Florida Highway Patrol
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Orange County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 1:23 am, a 2021 Harley Davidson Road Glide motorcycle driven by a 45-year-old Groveland man was traveling westbound on State Road 408 west of State Road 50 (Colonial Drive) in the outside lane.
For an unknown reason, the rider veered off the roadway and struck the guardrail.
After the crash, the rider was transported to AdventHealth East and pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the name of the motorcyclist involved in the collision.
