Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision last night in Orange County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 11:07 pm, a 2024 Triumph Trident Motorcycle operated by a 22-year-old Cocoa man was traveling southbound on State Road 417 approaching the eastbound State Road 528 ramp.
As he advanced, the rider failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and lost control. As a result, the motorcycle ran off the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail.
The motorcyclist was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center and pronounced deceased.
This crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the name of the motorcyclist involved in the collision.
