Breaking News Overnight: Motorcyclist, and passenger die after a two-vehicle collision in Volusia County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision last night in Volusia County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist and passenger.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 9:18 pm, a 2020 Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by a 46-year-old Crystal River woman was traveling eastbound from a stop sign on Lake Winona Road, attempting to make a left turn onto US-17.
At the same time, a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by a 57-year-old Holly Hill man, transporting a 53-year-old Jacksonville woman, was traveling US-17, approaching Lake Winona Road.
As the two vehicles approached, the pickup truck failed to yield to the motorcycle and collided.
The pickup driver and a passenger reported no injuries to the FHP.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The passenger was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center and pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation.
