Breaking News Overnight: Driver dies after collision with Sheriff's vehicle in Osceola County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision last night in Osceola County that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 7:04 pm, an Orange County Sheriff's Office Ford F-150 driven by a 31-year-old OCSO Deputy was traveling northbound on State Road 91 (Florida's Turnpike) north of the Osceola Parkway in the inside lane.
At the same time, a 2014 Subaru BRZ driven by a 37-year-old St. Cloud man was traveling northbound on the turnpike in the inside lane.
As they approached, the driver said he had a mechanical issue, which caused him to lose control. The vehicle rotated counterclockwise and became disabled in the lane facing south.
The OCSO vehicle entered the path of the vehicle, and they collided.
The OCSO Deputy was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Osceole Regional Medical Center and later pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the drivers' names involved in the collision.
