Breaking News Overnight: Driver dies after a single-vehicle collision in Volusia County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Volusia County that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 2:12 am, a 2017 Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by a 42-year-old Canton, NC, man was traveling southbound on Interstate 95 south of West Indian River Boulevard in the center lane.
For unknown reasons, the driver traveled off the roadway and collided with a guardrail. The impact sent the vehicle airborne, overturned it, and landed it in a water-filled ditch.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver involved in the crash.
